Crafting authentic Spanish espadrilles is truly an art form. At Viscata, we use traditional artisan techniques with an attention to detail that is so rare these days. All of our shoes are handmade in a boutique workshop in Spain where craftsmen still hand wrap the all-natural jute and sow each shoe with care.
We combine this centuries-old craftsmanship with natural materials and a beautiful array of colors and a gorgeous selection of styles. The result is an exceptionally comfortable and stylish pair of shoes that you can wear any time, any where — designed to be dressed up or down with everything in your wardrobe.
CARING FOR YOUR ESPADRILLES
Easily take care of Viscatas espadrille flats and wedges by gently brushing the canvas with a little water and soap, then air dry the shoes in the shade. For the jute, trim the fibers around your espadrilles with scissors when needed.
FITTING AND BREAKING INTO YOUR ESPADRILLES
Out of the box your espadrilles might be a little tight. This is OK. By wearing your espadrilles a few times you will wear them in and they will take the shape of your foot; creating a snug and comfortable fit.
ALL NATURAL WITH PURPOSE
Viscata seeks out all natural materials to elaborate your pair of espadrilles. Additionally, Viscata has teamed up with Treecycler to plant trees in reforestation projects around the world.
